Management and leadership of the Asset Integrity Management Team consisting of operating engineers for the offshore wind farm Thor on the Westcoast of Denmark. Creation and optimization of maintenance strategies, long-term campaign planning as well as the design of the corresponding contractual landscape. In addition, coordinating the clarification of all complex engineering problems of the operation as well as the continuous optimization of the turbine availability.
 
Your future plans

  • Develop and implement the new wind farm’s operational setup jointly with the General Manager and the Management Team and ensure operational readiness from day one
  • Recruiting a great and highly motivated Asset Integrity team and setting them up for success 
  • Managing and steering interdisciplinary projects within the team, setting goals and monitoring success, and driving continuous improvement, coordinating communication, inspections and reporting with the relevant authorities and certification bodies and effective collaboration
  • Responsibility for all maintenance and repair tasks as well as retrofit campaigns (including component procurement), managing the planning and optimization of technical maintenance and repair budgets, while analyzing sustainable cost savings
  • Ensure compliance and optimization of HSE standards, employee training and creation of a very strong HSE culture
  • Continuous optimization of maintenance and repair strategies to reduce future LCOE, long-term maintenance campaign planning and technical optimization of the asset, development and implementation of retrofits and other solutions
  • Provide technical support to operations for all technical faults and damages. Conduct root cause analysis, develop repair strategies and coordinate and implement related campaigns
  • Leading and coordinating warranty management, ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations and maintain operating license

  
Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree in engineering, preferably mechanical and/or electrical engineering or equivalent 
  • Professional experience (6-8 years) in the energy industry, ideally in the field of offshore wind and profound knowledge in the field of operation, maintenance and repair of wind farms 
  • Strong focus on occupational safety and implementation of occupational safety and environmental standards
  • Sound experience in contract negotiations and project management
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Very good communication skills and assertiveness and strong problem solving and analytical skills, proactive and structured way of working
  • Very good command of written and spoken English
  • As this is a site-based role, we would like you to live within commuting distance of Thorsminde.

About Thor
RWE is building Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm. Thor offshore wind farm will be built 22 kilometres off the coast of Thorsminde on the west coast of Jutland with a capacity of more than 1 GW. 72 units of Siemens Gamesa’s flagship SG 14-236 DD offshore wind turbines are planned to be installed. Once fully operational in 2027, Thor will produce green electricity to more than 1 million Danish households.
