Conny Cichon works as General Manager of our Rødsand Windfarm in Denmark and is one of our exceptional female role models within our #TeamRWE. As part of our Power Looks Good On You initiative, we had a chat with her about her career and her dual role as a mother and a leader.

Today you get a glimpse on what she has to say about power and what advice she has for young women in the energy industry.

Conny, what does Power mean to you?

To me, power means the possibility to shape the future. And to change the future.

What is your biggest superpower?

I would say, my biggest superpower at work is empathy. Because it's very important as a leader to listen to your people. Everyone has a strength; we’re just different. And I always try to see what gives someone energy.

Why did you become part of the Power Looks Good On You Initiative?

I took part to represent a powerful woman in energy who is a mother and a good leader at the same time. And to be a role model to other generations.

What advice would you give to other women in renewables?

I would advise younger women to actively go for it. Don't hold back. Don't wait to be seen. But go for it. I think it's important to know what you can do and what you have already achieved in your life. It's just that self-confidence. You constantly have to remind yourself of what you've already achieved, what you're able to do. And that gives me strength and power.
