"The strong operating result gives us tailwind for the coming months, which will be one of the most exciting periods in our company’s history. RWE will soon turn into a ‘new RWE’ – an international player with a clear focus on renewables and energy storage. We will rank among the world’s leading green energy producers, which is something we’re already looking forward to!"
Dr Rolf Martin Schmitz, CEO of RWE AG
‘Our Responsibility 2018’ is the title of the Corporate Responsibility Report (CR Report) which RWE has just published. The company furnishes information on all major topics related to the economy, environment and society on a total of 98 pages. Also the impending transaction with E.ON is classified. Once it has been executed, RWE will be a leading provider of renewable energy, ranking second worldwide in onshore wind.
The complete CR Report ‘Our Responsibility 2018’ is available online on RWE's website. All facts and figures since 2006 can be accessed and compiled online using the convenient key figure tool. RWE’s first CR Report was released in 1998, when it was still called the Environmental Report.
RWE’s report complies with the international standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The GRI guidelines have become established best practice the world over. They are refined by a cooperation of companies, investors, rating agencies, associations and scientists. In addition, RWE enlists the services of the auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to audit material parts of the report.
Moreover, capital market-oriented companies in Germany have been legally obligated to publish a non-financial declaration in their review of operations or a separate non-financial group report as a separate document since 2017. RWE meets this obligation with its CR Report. The relevant sections have been written in blue font.
