The Supervisory Board of RWE Generation SE has appointed Roger Miesen as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for another five years. The Dutchman has been a member of the Executive Board since 2013 and CEO of RWE Generation SE since 2018. His current contract runs until the end of 2020 and has been extended until the end of 2025 by the Supervisory Board decision.

Rolf Martin Schmitz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RWE Generation SE, comments: "Roger Miesen has extensive experience in the field of European power generation. Changing political and market conditions make the electricity market in Europe extremely challenging. With him, we have a CEO who feels at home in many markets and has great technical understanding. His experience will be especially valuable in the future. After all, the company must not only adapt to the business environment, but also consistently develop further and integrate innogy's hydro, biomass and biogas business. I am therefore very pleased that we were able to keep Roger on board for another five years".
