Have you seen the perfect RWE job and are now ready to apply? Before you do, read about our recruitment processes so you know what to expect and have a look at some useful hints and tips we’ve put together. Why? Because this will give you the best chance of securing a place at the RWE table!
Application processes will always vary depending on the job you apply for but we’ve put together some of the most used at RWE so you can prepare and put your best foot forward.
The process takes, depending on the role you would like to apply for, usually between 4-8 weeks and includes the following steps:
Once you’ve found a suitable position, apply exclusively online using the “Apply now” button in the respective job description. If you have all the documents ready, the application process will only take a 3-5 minutes. Immediately after uploading your application, you will receive an automated confirmation of receipt.
The next steps in the application process depend on the individual position you’ve applied for. Generally you will receive initial feedback from us within two weeks after your application.

Some roles require a medical examination. You’ll be informed in due course.
If it suits both parties, we will be happy to make you an offer and send you the contract. Please send it back as soon as possible. The entire process typically takes about 6-8 weeks.
That's just the beginning. Now the real fun starts. Even before you join RWE, we'll start with your pre-boarding. We'll do everything we can to make it as easy as possible for you to join #TeamRWE.
This is normally the first step in the process where you submit your CV and cover letter (or any other documentation) via our online portal. Once you have submitted your application you will receive an automated confirmation. If you do not receive it, make sure you check your junk or spam folder as it may be there. If you have not received anything, then please contact us.
For most of our roles, we will conduct a telephone interview. It is a great way for us to get to know each other and for us both to decide whether we are a good match.
The interview is normally the last stage of the process. In the interview, you can showcase your skills and let us know why you think you are the best person for the role. We will discuss more than just what is on the job specification. We will discuss your potential team and tasks so you can really see if the role is right for you. And of course, if you have any questions, we look forward to answering them!
For some roles, we will ask you to take part in an assessment centre. This helps us to assess any strengths and look at your potential for a role. An assessment centre normally comprises of various elements such as a presentation, group task or role play. However, no matter what the structure is, it is important to be genuine and approach tasks in the same way as you would on a normal working day.
