The application process takes 4-6 weeks and usually includes the following steps.
Once you have found a suitable position, apply exclusively online using the “Apply now” button in the respective job description.
If you have all the documents ready, the application process only takes 3-5 minutes. Immediately after uploading your application, you will receive an automated confirmation of receipt.
The next step in the application process is usually a virtual or in person interview with the hiring manager and/or someone from the team. You may be asked to do a short presentation or work on a case study but you’ll be informed in due course.
If you have any questions during the process, please get in touch with the contact named in the job description at any time.
If it suits both parties, we will be happy to make you an offer and send you the contract. Please send it back as soon as possible.
The entire process typically takes 4-6 weeks.
Are you looking for a placement programme or would you like to find out more about our undergraduate and student opportunities?
At events in your city or region, you can make important contacts and find out about vacancies. At our stands, you also have the opportunity to get a direct look behind the scenes of an undergraduate programme at RWE - because our placement students are often on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Please only use our online application platform for your application, which you can access from any job advertisement by clicking on the "Apply now" button.
If you want to help us achieve our goal of "Our energy for a sustainable life," you've come to the right place. Diversity makes us stronger and you'll see many of our positions are open to students of all backgrounds.
We look forward to receiving your application if you have completed your 3rd semester (bachelor's degree), are in the gap year between bachelor's and master's degree, or are already a master's student.
All other requirements can be found in the respective job posting in our job board.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to submit an unsolicited application at RWE, as our recruiting is a decentralised responsibility of the individual RWE operational companies. There is no central office within the Group that can check unsolicited applications and forward them to relevant departments - and also guarantee you a good application process. We hope you will nevertheless find what you are looking for in our job board. Thank you for your understanding.
An internship at RWE usually lasts 3-6 months. Longer internships are possible, e.g. during a gap year.
Of course we adhere to the applicable minimum wage, however in the end the remuneration depends on your previous experience and whether you are studying in your bachelor's or master's degree. The contact persons named in the job advertisements will be happy to provide you with individual information.
Occasionally, topics for bachelor's or master's theses are also advertised on our job board. Much more often, however, our interns or working students write their work with and for us. We therefore recommend that you first apply for an internship or a job as a working student and - if you like - discuss the topic directly in the interview.
