To the jobs

From an internship/working student position to career entry – take a look at Natali's successful journey at RWE.

“Staying at RWE was a completely natural choice for me.”

Natali started as an intern in RWE's HR department in 2021 and quickly found her passion for topics related to training, learning and development. What started as an internship and later as a working student position developed into a full-time position where she now contributes to significant projects in an expanded role.

Please introduce yourself and tell us about your internship / working student position.

Hi, I’m Natali! I joined RWE in 2021 as an intern in the HR department, focusing on Training, Learning, and Development. At the time, I was studying Social Sciences for my bachelor’s degree and looking for a four-month mandatory internship that aligned with my favorite subjects: Sociology and Psychology. That’s when I found this opportunity!

What were your tasks as an intern/working student and what are you doing now?

As an intern and later as a working student, I helped shape the training portfolio for various target groups, supported the promotion of learning offerings, and contributed to company-wide projects on topics like corporate culture and leadership. I also assisted in launching a new talent programme.

Now, I’ve continued working on similar topics but have taken on more responsibility for many of these initiatives at RWE AG.

Why did you decide to stay with RWE?

Staying at RWE was a natural choice for me – I loved the projects I was working on and was excited to take on more responsibility. It’s been so rewarding to see projects through from start to finish. Plus, my colleagues make it such a great environment to grow and do my best every day. They’re always inspiring, supportive, and empowering, and they truly push me to achieve my full potential.

What is it like to take up full-time employment at RWE after an internship/working student position?

I started my first position in August 2022. The transition was an adjustment but a positive one! I took on more meaningful responsibilities and discovered my passion for topics in Learning and Development. This inspired me to pursue a master’s degree in Business Psychology alongside my job. RWE is super supportive, especially during exam periods, making it possible to balance both work and studies successfully.
