Our energy for your start

Feel welcome to have an initial impact.

Welcome to #TeamRWE

A good onboarding process is particularly important to us to make you feel an integral part of #TeamRWE from the moment you decide to join us.

It involves providing the necessary trainings, resources, and support to help you understand RWE’s culture and values, your role and responsibilities and most importantly to get to know the people you’ll be working with.

Onboarding process at RWE

By following this structured onboarding process, we aim to create a positive experience for our new colleagues, helping them to become productive and engaged members of our #TeamRWE.

During the whole process, a "buddy" will be assigned who will be your point of contact and support during your initial weeks and months at RWE.

1. Before your start

Your onboarding starts as soon as you’ve signed the contract. You can access our team:news and find out about a wide range of current topics that affect us at RWE. Follow #TeamRWE on LinkedIn and Instagram to keep up to date on the company developments.

Your future manager and team members will be happy to tell you more over a (virtual) tea or coffee and answer any questions you may have. In addition, every newcomer is assigned a so-called buddy. Your buddy actively supports you during your induction. You can talk - in person or virtually - about everything that is important to you or what the buddy thinks you should know. We are sure - there is plenty to talk about.

Of course, your colleagues from the HR department are available to talk and answer your questions and will provide you with all the information you need to get off to a good start.

We can’t wait for you to start and want you to be able slip into your new role without any uncertainties.

A structured induction will guide you through the first week(s). Getting to know the colleagues better is certainly a crucial part of the process. Once you are familiar with your new working environment, you’ll be ready to take on your first tasks.

With the support of your manager and your team, you will also get to know the necessary interfaces, processes and systems.

Your onboarding is individually tailored to your experience level, your new role and the RWE company you’ve joined.

The nervousness has gone, but the excitement remains – you are ready to dive deeper into the corporate culture and expand your range of opportunities. Where do you want to go from here? How do you want to move forward? Through regular feedback sessions with your manager, we support your on-the-job learning, expand your core competencies and strengthen and promote your impact on #TeamRWE.

Join one of our various networks to engage with like-minded colleagues and represent your interests. For example, get involved as a Diversity Ambassador or contribute to the global women’s network. Take part in one of the numerous sports teams and join the yearly company run. And make sure to participate in the regular board chats, which provide in-depth insights into RWE's latest developments. The opportunities are endless.

Last but not least we are constantly looking to improve our onboarding processes, therefore don’t miss the chance to provide your valuable feedback by taking part in our Joiner Survey.

There are special introduction weeks for apprentices and graduates. If you are interested check out the corresponding pages.
