Climate-neutral green electricity in the county of Harburg in Lower Saxony

Onshore wind farm Evendorf

The Evendorf wind farm is located in the district of Harburg, about 50 kilometres south of Hamburg. The three wind turbines, each with an installed capacity of 3.9 megawatts, produce enough energy to supply 7,500 households for a year.

Evendorf is already the 32nd wind farm that RWE has connected to the grid in Lower Saxony. With the construction of the wind farm, RWE is supporting the state of Lower Saxony with its wind power experience in onshore business in converting the energy supply to renewable energy sources and is working together with authorities and those responsible on site in an exemplary manner.

Wind farm experience from RWE

Evendorf is a positive example of how the pace of building additional renewables capacities can be stepped up due to good collaboration with state and local authorities. I want to thank the local stakeholders and the local authority for their great support with this project.
